Buffalo-style dishes have to be somewhere near the top of my favorite-things-to-eat-ever list. I’m crazy about spicy food and the flavors of that hot n’ tangy buffalo sauce paired with the cool and creamy blue cheese is heaven.

This is one of those set-it-and-forget-it meals you can make all year round. Seriously SO easy. Ridiculously, embarrassingly easy.

Step 1) Throw that chicken in the slow cooker with some water and hot sauce. Walk away.

Step 2) Drain the liquid, shred the chicken, add more hot sauce.

Step 3) Assemble crazy-delicious 5 Ingredient Buffalo Chicken Sliders.

EAT.

See? So easy. And the best part is that you can use these sliders as a main dish, or as an appetizer at a party. Either way, they are sure to be a huge hit!

Buffalo Chicken Sliders {5 Ingredients}

Ingredients

  • 2-3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups Franks buffalo hot sauce, divided
  • dry cole slaw or thinly sliced cabbage (about two cups of whichever you choose)
  • 1 cup blue cheese dressing (or to taste)
  • 6-8 slider buns or dinner rolls
  • optional: blue cheese crumbles

Instructions

  1. Place chicken, water, and 1 cup hot sauce in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on high 4 hours or low 8 hours.

  2. Minutes before serving, drain slow cooker and shred chicken with two forks. Add remaining 1 cup hot sauce to the slow cooker, give it a stir, and cover and cook 30 minutes longer.

  3. Serve chicken on slider buns, top with slaw (and blue cheese crumbles if desired), drizzle with blue cheese dressing. Serve warm or at room temperature.

I am actually surprised no one has commented on this recipe! I have to say I stumbled on it…I’m not a huge fan of buffalo wings, hot stuff etc but these are literally out of this world!! Even my picky kid who doesn’t like hot items loves these. I use ranch dressing instead of blue cheese. Thanks for the great recipes on this site!
