Sometimes you just need a really yummy go-to dinner that doesn’t require a lot of ingredients and isn’t gonna require a whole lot of time. When it’s been a long day, say a Tuesday maybe (those tend to be long, I don’t know why) and I’m dog tired and my stomach is growling louder than a pit bull and I’m starting to get (let’s face it) grumpy, the last thing I want to do is slave over a hot stove just to get a good meal on the table. I want yummy food and I want it ASAP. Oh you can relate?? Good. I’ve got just the cure for a day like that.

I love crescent rolls because they are so buttery and flaky. And who doesn’t like buttery and flaky when it comes to a roll?? The best thing about crescent rolls though is that sure, you can eat them as-is, all plain like, which is totally acceptable and I do that from time to time… but you can dress em up in a snap. Take these Chicken Alfredo Bundles for example. I mean really? I can get my chicken alfredo fix in just 25 minutes without even breaking a sweat?? That’s a go-to dinner in my book. Or lunch. Or midnight snack, whatever tickles your fancy. Just do yourself a little favor and pick up a package of crescent rolls and a bottle of alfredo sauce when you hit the grocery store this week. Everyone will love you for it when you fix these amazingly delicious bundles!

An easy and delicious twist on chicken alfredo, done in less than 30 minutes and only 5 ingredients!
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4

  • 2 chicken breasts, pounded and chopped into 1.5 inch pieces
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 package crescent rolls (I used Pillsbury light and buttery crescent rolls)
  • 1 cup alfredo sauce (I used the light version by [url:1]Bertolli[/url], my favorite!)
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese

  • Preheat oven to 350, line a baking sheet with nonstick foil and grease well with cooking spray.
  • Season chicken with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with garlic powder. Cook chicken in a large pan or nonstick skillet over medium high heat, stirring throughout until cooked through. Place chicken in a bowl and set aside.
  • Unroll Pillsburry crescent rolls and separate each triangle. Take two of the triangles and put them side by side, pinch the touching sides together in the middle so that they form one large triangle. Repeat with remaining dough. (You should now have four large dough triangles)
  • Spread 3-4 tablespoons of alfredo sauce onto each dough triangle. Place chicken pieces on top of sauce. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over chicken. Starting with the big flat end of the triangle, carefully roll the dough toward the smaller pointy end. Place rolled croissant onto prepared baking sheet. Repeat process with remaining triangles.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes until puffy and lightly browned. Remove from oven. Top with additional sauce and parmesan cheese if desired. Serve warm. Enjoy!

This was really good and unique weeknight meal. It was nice to switch it up a bit! I used Whole Foods alfredo sauce.
