The classic cheesy chicken alfredo pizza gets a fun twist with a quick homemade sauce, crispy bacon and fresh avocado!

Ingredients
  • 1 large pizza crust (homemade or store bought)
  • 1 avocado, thinly sliced
  • 3 strips bacon, cooked til crispy and crumbled
  • 1 boneless skinless chicken breast, pounded to 1/2 inch thickness
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic (may sub garlic powder)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 2/3 cup whole milk OR half and half
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
  1. Season chicken with 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste. Spray a nonstick skillet or pan with cooking spray. Cook chicken over medium high heat 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Chop into bite size pieces.

  2. In a medium sauce pan melt butter with garlic and sauté over medium heat about 2 minutes until garlic is fragrant. Add flour and stir until mixture comes together in a clump. Slowly whisk in heavy cream and milk until smooth. Add 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese and stir until creamy and thick.

  3. Spread sauce onto pizza crust. Top with mozzarella and remaining 1/2 cup parmesan cheese. Add chicken, avocado slices, and bacon. Bake at 375 for about 10 minutes cheese is melty.
