Peppermint Cocoa Christmas Ornaments

A tasty treat for neighbor gifts or to decorate your own Christmas tree!

Ingredients

  • clear round christmas ornaments
  • hot cocoa powder (I used milk chocolate)
  • mini marshmallows
  • candy canes, crushed
  • ribbon
  • small funnel

Instructions

  • Carefully remove the tops of the ornaments and set aside. Place one ornament in a small bowl to keep it from tipping over. Place the spout of the funnel into the opening of the ornament. 
  • Pour 5-6 tablespoons hot chocolate into the funnel and shake gently to get cocoa into the ornament. Add 1 tablespoon crushed candy canes. Remove the funnel and drop about 10 mini marshmallows into the ornament. Carefully put the top back into the ornament. Repeat process with remaining ornaments.
  • Optional: When finished, glue one piece of ribbon around the top and use another piece of ribbon (about 6-8 inches long) to tie a bow onto the ring.
