broccoli florets

olive oil

salt

cracked black pepper

or to taste, (less if using ground black pepper)
optional additions

garlic powder

tablespoons
grated parmesan cheese
fresh squeezed lemon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Arrange broccoli on a sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil, toss to coat.
Rearrange broccoli so that it is in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add optional ingredients now, if using.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender and edges are crisp. Serve immediately.
Notes
Flavor tip: add a drizzle of balsamic glaze or a sprinkle of parmesan cheese just before serving.
