Ingredients
1largepizza crust , (homemade or store bought)
1avocado, thinly sliced
3stripsbacon, cooked til crispy and crumbled
1boneless skinless chicken breast, pounded to ½ inch thickness
½teaspoongarlic powder
salt and pepper, to taste
½cupshredded mozzarella cheese
½cupshredded parmesan cheese
Sauce
2tablespoonsbutter
½teaspoonminced garlic , (may sub garlic powder)
½teaspoononion powder
1tablespoonflour
⅔cupheavy cream
⅔cupwhole milk, OR half and half
½cupshredded parmesan cheese
salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Season chicken with 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste. Spray a nonstick skillet or pan with cooking spray. Cook chicken over medium high heat 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Chop into bite size pieces.
In a medium sauce pan melt butter with garlic and sauté over medium heat about 2 minutes until garlic is fragrant. Add flour and stir until mixture comes together in a clump. Slowly whisk in heavy cream and milk until smooth. Add 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese and stir until creamy and thick.
Spread sauce onto pizza crust. Top with mozzarella and remaining 1/2 cup parmesan cheese. Add chicken, avocado slices, and bacon. Bake at 375 for about 10 minutes cheese is melty.
Notes
Flavor option: leave out the avocado and serve with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
