Easy 3-Ingredient Caramel Fondue dip you can whip up either in the microwave, or in a crockpot. Rich, gooey caramel sauce for dipping all of your favorite treats!

I love easy desserts with limited ingredients and this caramel fondue takes the cake. Honestly I think it’s the easiest dessert I’ve ever made. Almost too easy to call it a recipe. But it is a recipe. So I’m sharing it. Because you really need this fantastic stuff in your life.

You can make it either in the microwave – for practically instant gratification (we all have those days), or in the crockpot – for an easy peasy dessert to serve at a party. The slow cooker is nice for serving larger groups and keeping the fondue warm for a longer time. Either way it’s a walk in the park. A freakishly delicious walk in the park.

There’s no end to the number of things you can dip into this caramel sauce. I’ve tried apples and other fruit (bananas, strawberries – yummmm), pretzels, cookies, chocolates, marshmallows (no shame in dipping sugar in more sugar…). If you’ve got a party coming up, or just a passionate craving for something sweet and irresistible, you need to make this. It really couldn’t get easier or tastier.

Can I make this using the caramel bits? If so, what would be the amount
Would this be okay in a chocolate fountain?
Muito bom parabéns
Does the caramel dip solidly if cooled? I would like to have a caramel apple bar!
Hi! I will be making this for my son’s college grad party and I wOukd like to know if i can make it ahead and reheat it in the microwave?
Yes! That should work!
If it is too thick after reheating, just stir in a few tablespoons of heavy cream or half and half
Amazing you guys should make an app amazing eats
I made A very elaborate menu of dips and dippers, and I needed a dessert that fit in with the theme but didn’t keep me chained to the kitchen. This was perfect! I unwrapped the caramels and measured out the marshmallows in advance, so I was able to slip away for just a moment to prep dessert (I also made a dark chocolate fondue), and everyone loved it. I set out all kinds of dippers and toppings (bananas, coconut, pretzels, toffee chips, crushed waffle cones, smoked almonds, dried apricots, graham crackers, etc.), and everyone had fun coming up with different combinations. Thanks for an easy, delicious dessert!
Wow!! I am extremely bummed that I wasn’t invited to this event! 😉 Sounds amazing! Thanks for sharing your great ideas!!
Thanks for the recipe! It would be very nice if recipes were posted at the beginning of the post, not after the photos. For those of us with slow internet, reading food blogs sometimes is very frustrating to the point of giving up.
could you use this recipe to dip whole apples for a party? Can you leave it on warm for a couple of hours?
Is there a way to make this dairy free? Maybe using coconut or almond milk or cream?
Thanks!
Hi Mary! You know, I haven’t tried a dairy-free version but I would try probably full-fat (not light) coconut milk and see how that goes 🙂
This is jaw-dropping! It looks delicious 🙂
I’m all over the caramel + apple combo this fall. I love that you can make this fondue in the slow cooker too!
This is dangerously easy to make! I’d stand next to the crock pot during the entire party, hoarding all of the apple slices and pretzels so I could have the dip all to myself and not share with anybody else… No shame. 😉 Pinned!
Desserts with minimal ingredients are my best friend because baking is not reallllyyy my thing. This? This I can perfect, plus I’m always a sucker for anything caramel.
Ohmylanta! This looks sinful! I want some on some apple slices!!!
