Is is too soon for smoothies and drinks of the semi-frozen variety?? I’ve been craving fresh fruit lately like it’s going out of style. Happens every year around this time after a long winter of subpar, out of season produce, and doesn’t end until… well I guess it never really ends, but it sort of lessens in intensity by October.

Now if we’re being totally honest, you make an orange julius with frozen concentrate… not actual fresh orange juice (unless you are super awesome and squeeze fresh oranges in your spare time in which case I am mega jealous and you should invite me over for a homemade fresh orange juice orange julius pronto) BUT we are not having just any old orange julius today, we are having a strawberry orange julius and it. is. epic.

And also made with fresh strawberries.

So while you’re hoarding fresh fruit this season, save a few strawberries for one of these bad boys because they’re absolutely yummalicious. Basically everything that is wonderful about an orange julius, but multiplied by a thousand because  s t r a w b e r r i e s  ya know?

You might also be interested to learn that these are breakfast approved. By me. Because I had one (and a half) for breakfast yesterday.

It can’t be any worse than a stack of pancakes.
