These are my very favorite 5 ingedient chicken mariandes! They are so easy with just five ingredients each, and five minutes or prep, and they make your chicken so juicy and full of flavor when baked or grilled. You can marinate the chicken for just 30 minutes if you are in a hurry, or overnight for even more flavor. You will love these simple, go-to marinades!

Honey Chipotle Chicken Marinade

Easy healthy honey chipotle chicken marinade with just 5 ingredients and 5 minutes of prep will make your chicken juicy and flavorful!
Ingredients
  • 2-6 chicken breasts or chicken thighs
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons chopped canned chipotles packed in adobo sauce
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a zip lock bag, seal and shake to mix well.
  2. Chill for 30 minutes or overnight. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-35 minutes until cooked through, or grill over medium high heat for 5-10 minutes on each side until cooked through.
 
Lemon Herb Chicken Marinade

  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a zip lock bag, seal and shake to mix well.
  2. Chill for 30 minutes or overnight. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-35 minutes until cooked through, or grill over medium high heat for 5-10 minutes on each side until cooked through.

    I love all these marinades and I’m excited to try them but do you recommend brining before marinating? Also, any adjustments for high altitude?

      I don’t brine the chicken before hand but you totally can if you prefer to! And I live in high altitude so you should be fine following as is 🙂
