My love affair with ice cream has been thriving since I was just a little tyke. (I’m still little, but I like to think I’m no longer  a tyke) I was an adamant chocolate lover for years but eventually, I realized there is more goodness in this world than chocolate-chocolate-chocolate. Note: chocolate is still my fav, but my heart has made room for other yumminess. Frozen creamy pineapple yumminess is high on my list of loves.

DLand Pineapple Whip? Ohhhh yeah. If you haven’t experienced a Dole Pineapple Whip from DisneyLand you are seriously, seriously missing out. But this tastes a lot like it folks, and it is a SKINNY Pineapple Smoothie. All the flavor without the calories, fat, and crazy amounts of sugar? BIG win in my book! Cause then, I don’t feel so bad having a smoothie for breakfast. Or at midnight. Or …. both.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • ½ medium banana
  • ½ cup crushed ice
  • ½ cup vanilla yogurt , (or greek vanilla yogurt)
  • 1 ½ cups fat free milk , OR coconut milk

Instructions

  • Add pineapple, banana, yogurt and ice to blender. Add 1 cup of the milk. Pulse until mixture is smooth. Add more milk about 1/4 cup at a time until desired consistency is reached (I wanted to be able to slurp mine with a straw and it ended up being about 1 1/2 cups of milk). Pour into a glass and drink up!

Notes

***DAIRY FREE OPTION: use coconut milk and leave out the yogurt.

What a delicious treat, Tiffany! I suppose almond milk can also be used, if preferred. I love the color!

hi I made this smoothie today. I have read and tried many different smoothie recipes but something made this one different. I think it was the addition of milk. I found the recipe made enough for 2 which was fine with me, I drank all of if myself lol. I don’t like bananas so I just left it out and my pineapple wasn’t frozen so I added a bit of crushed ice. I really liked it. I don’t like thick smoothies and found the addition of milk really made this smoothie good. thanks for the recipe!

FANTASTIC!!! I just made this, but I used kefir instead of yogurt and I used unsweetened coconut milk. I was so sad when it was all gone. I’m thinking maybe some Malibu Rum added to it would be awesome on a hot summer night 🙂

This is my most popular Smoothie I drink. Either with the Coconut Milk or sometimes I use V8 Tropical fruit juices such as Peach Mango, Strawberry Kiwi, etc. Not the V8 Smoothie brand either. However I cheat a little and use aprox a cup of frozen yogurt plain vanilla vs any non fat yogurt & ice. My basic all the time Smoothie sometimes add frozen mixed fruit as in strawberry’s, peach’s, etc. Sometimes I add fresh peaches. Always use same mixes, Either Coconut Milk, V8 Tropical, & Frz Van yogurt. Looking for new ideas. Thanks for sharing some!!
