Here’s the thing about me and oatmeal. I never liked it growing up, mostly because I thought it looked like a big bowl of hot mush. I could never get past the idea of Little Miss Muffett on her tuffett with a bowl of mush and before you know it oatmeal was inextricably linked to spiders in my mind and it became inedible.

Luckily I grew up a little, learned to kill my own spiders, and started making some really amazing oatmeal recipes. Ones that don’t taste like mush, but rather like dessert in a form that is entirely acceptable for breakfast. I’ll take a cinnamon roll any way I can get it – and that definitely goes for an oatmeal version. I love overnight oats because they only take a couple minutes to throw together before you go to bed, and they are ready to go when you’re running out the door in the morning. (If you’re anything like me and have trouble limiting the number of times you hit the snooze button, you could use a good no-fuss breakfast go-to.) And if you haven’t tried cold oats before, it’s about time you gave it a shot – starting with these cinnamon roll overnight oats!

Could it be warmed slightly before eating?

    1. Tiffany says:

I haven’t tried it warm myself, but if you do try heating it up, please let me know how it turns out! 🙂

I’m still not a huge fan of oatmeal and to make matters worst can’t stand cold food, sooooo silly question but have you ever warmed it up straight out the fridge??

  4. Lisa says:

How long can you store these? Ex. Could I make 5 for my whole week on Sunday and eat them throughout the week? Or do you think 8 hours is the max time they should be refrigerated before eaten? Thanks!

    1. Tiffany says:

Hi Lisa, I’ve kept these up to 4 days in the refrigerator so I bet one more day couldn’t hurt! 🙂

When do u add the cinnamon

    1. Tiffany says:

Hi Kon – sorry about the confusion, the cinnamon goes in with the rest of the ingredients before chilling overnight – I’ve updated the recipe to make that more clear! 🙂

      1. Gabrielle says:

This looks delicious! Would chilling it for more than 8 hours be bad??

        1. Tiffany says:

Nope! I’ve chilled mine up to 3 days and still loved it!
